About Our Chapter

Chapter meetings are generally held on the third Saturday of the month September through December and March through June.
For over 100 years, members have followed the objectives of the National Society by promoting historical preservation,
education, and patriotism. Please feel encouraged to join us!

Thirteen historical sites have been marked by our chapter in the Nashua, New Hampshire area.
In addition, over 100 Revolutionary War soldiers' graves were marked in eleven different cemeteries.

The DAR Good Citizens Award is sponsored in the Greater Nashua area high schools.
The DAR Good Citizen awardee from each high school has the opportunity to compete in
the DAR Good Citizens Scholarship Contest.

The chapter sponsors the DAR American History Essay contest.

In addition, the chapter sponsors the Patriots of the American Revolution
DAR High School Essay Contest which was established in 2021.
This high school-level essay contest focuses on figures of the American Revolution,
in preparation for the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding.
